the equestrian arts to ensure the smooth functioning of our events, educational programs, and community outreach. It’s their passion that fuels the engine of our organization, making it possible for us to create a vibrant hub for dressage enthusiasts.

Our commitment extends beyond the arena boundaries. We understand that fostering a sense of community is crucial for the growth of both individuals and the sport itself. Through our volunteer-driven initiatives, we not only organize shows that showcase the finesse of dressage but also create an environment where like-minded individuals can come together, share experiences, and forge lasting connections.

At High Plains Dressage Chapter, we don’t just promote a sport; we nurture a community. Whether you’re in the saddle or cheering from the sidelines, you’re an integral part of our story. Join us in the pursuit of excellence, education, and the joy that comes from the dance between horse and rider.

What is Dressage

Dressage is like a dance between a rider and their horse. The word itself comes from the French word for training, and that's exactly what it is. Horses and riders perform a series of precise movements and patterns, showcasing the horse's athleticism and the rider's skill in communication through subtle cues. It's often considered the highest expression of horse training and elegance. The connection between the rider and the horse is key, like a conversation happening through movements rather than words. Imagine a graceful ballet with a four-legged partner!
